Rebecca Turner, MS, RDN, CSSD

Rebecca Turner is a registered dietitian nutritionist, and a certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Using science based food and behavior strategies, Rebecca helps individuals develop a positive relationship with food that enhances overall well-being and athletic performance.

As a sports nutrition expert, Rebecca has the training and experience to work with athletes of all ages and ability levels. She provides individual and team nutrition counseling and education to enhance the performance of athletes through proper food and beverage choices. Topics of expertise include, but are not limited to optimizing athletic performance, weight loss or weight gain, meal planning, healthy eating while traveling/eating out, disordered eating, food allergies and diabetes.

Turner is a columnist for the Clarion Ledger’s weekly “Taste” column contributes to Well-Being Magazine, Parents and Kids Magazine and appears on WLBT for Wellness Wednesday segments. She is the official dietitian of MPB’s healthy cooking show, Fit to Eat.

Rebecca graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with both a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in nutrition and food systems. Awarded Mississippi Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year, 2012 and received the Circle of Excellence Award from SUDIA, 2014.
